\"\"<\/a>Welcome to the Samhain\/Hallowe’en edition of the Tarot Blog Hop. You can find links to the posts preceding and following this one and also the master list at the bottom of the page, as usual. The theme of this Blog Hop is “Exploring Your Shadow Side”. Well, if you’ve tuned in to find out about all my dark secrets, I’m afraid you’re going to be disappointed. You see, as a well-adjusted<\/del>\u00a0as a\u00a0schizophrenic<\/del>\u00a0as a Gemini, I don’t have a shadow side as such; all of my facets are on display…in carefully selected doses…to carefully selected people of course, but essentially, what you see is what you get , dark bits and all \ud83d\ude00<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

That said, I thought it might be amusing to see what the cards said and whether they agreed at all with my acknowledged, and very much in the full glare of daylight, shadow side. First, though, the dilemma of which deck to choose. Hmmm…I do have quite a few to choose from and it is a very great shame that my Darkana deck has yet to arrive, as I think that would have been absolutely perfect. Then again, I have the Joseph Vargo Gothic or the Bohemian Gothic or is that too obvious? Yes, I think so. Tempting as it is to lurch Frankenstein-like for the nearest Hammer inspired black deck, I think that the deck needed to plumb my darkest depths is the Shakespearian Tarot by Dolores Ashcroft-Nowicki. After all, who knows human nature better than Shakespeare, or for that matter, more about the masks they wear and the deceits they invent to hide behind.<\/p>\n

So, which card did I draw?…<\/p>\n

…The Wheel of Fortune. The text on the card reads: “The wheel hath come full circle” KING LEAR<\/em><\/p>\n

It figures…I told you I was well-rounded ;D\u00a0Mind you, the Moon is round* and it most definitely has a shadow side…..Mwahahahahaha….!<\/p>\n

*well, roughly spherical if you must be pedantic, though it is round in two dimensional representations.<\/p>\n

Staying with the broadly spherical theme, my Samhain gift to you is this\u00a0link<\/a>, though be sure your dark side doesn’t slip in any poisoned apples when you aren’t looking. Enjoy! \ud83d\ude00<\/p>\n
