I’m afraid that I don’t really celebrate or even associate Yule with light particularly. In truth, I rather enjoy the enveloping darkness, that always seems much warmer than the grey dinginess more common during the day at this time of year. Admittedly, we do have some lovely sunny days, (the surprisingly strong sun strobing through the trees as I drove along earlier today was quite psychedelic), though the daylight hours are short and with it barely getting light at all some days, there is not nearly enough light in our lives. Thus, the only way that I see to bring light into the darkness is to flip on the switch and rely on ushering in some artificial illumination. You’ll have noticed the rather splendid Sun card from the Swietlistej Drogi (Shining Path) Tarot, a little wishful thinking on my part as regards the Sun, but I couldn’t think of a more apt deck for the theme. Do check it out as it is rather unusual.<\/p>\n

The other thing that is in rather short supply at this time of year is time so, (in addition to a little enablement), I will leave you with the following illuminating wishes:<\/p>\n

May your holiday, whatever you celebrate, be filled with lights, loveliness and laughter. May your Tarot bring you enthusiasm, enlightenment and energy. These are my light wishes and without further ado, I gift you some festive lights to get you started \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
