\"strongbox2\"I was\u00a0tidying the accumulated piles of paperwork and stuff<\/del> doing a little sorting out today and stumbled on a poem I’d\u00a0knocked off\u00a0whilst at the V&A a couple of\u00a0years ago.<\/p>\n

The V&A have activity packs to make the business of looking at the exhibited objects a bit more entertaining and interactive. They get snapped up quite quickly so the choice can be limited and we ended up with one which directed us to the section dealing with keys and locks. The packs contain a number of activities, one of which was to write a poem inspired by one of the exhibits and offering a list of keywords. \u00a0The item in question was a large sea chest with a great many locks – a treasure chest, in other words.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Here’s what I wrote:<\/p>\n

Ghostly ships
\nLaden with treasure
\nLie broken and lost
\nIn heavy seas.
\nNo journey’s end.
\nSad friends.
\nWhat use the gold and silver now?<\/em><\/p>\n

We were pressed for time (there is a time limit on how long you can use the activity packs), so it really was a quickie, but I always used to enjoy writing poetry, so quite fun to have the excuse \ud83d\ude00<\/p>\n
